April lives in Denver, CO and spends her time catching up on her favorite CW shows, going to concerts and frequenting used book stores across the city.

When she's not doing those things, she's listening to her 7 year old son tell her that video games are way cooler than books.

The author of the Young Assassins and Beware of Bad Boy series, she also writes the Dead Chaos series with her brother, Ryan Brookshire.

Although, arguably her greatest talent is the speed in which she uses the self-checkout at Wal-mart.
