Sinopse - Two-way Street - Lauren Barnholdt
Jordan recently breaks up with Courtney for some girl he met on Myspace that’s the reason he gives to Courtney. Courtney tries to figure who it is, but Jordan deletes her as a friend and then blocks her from his myspace page. So she just calls the chick, Carmen. A trip they both planned together to go to their college orientation together puts their situation in an even more worse place then before. And the worst part is Courtney’s parents say it’s too late to cancel, so she’s forced onto a trip with her ex. She’s been completely broken up on the inside since the uncalled-for breakup, but she isn’t planning on moping around acting like it on the trip. Nope, she’s gonna act like she doesn’t give a damn about it.
Two-Way Street was a much better novel with more in store for the reader rather than the simple romance story I thought it was. It’s told from alternating stories between Courtney and Jordan. Mrs. Barnholdt pulled off both of the characters exceptionally well with keeping them pretty realistic throughout the novel. You discover insight towards both sides of the relationship and what happens during the 3 day drive. Okay, so one very annoying thing I found in the book was the the major issue with cussing. I mean yes, teens do cuss, but not that often. And I thought the twist would be bigger, or maybe have another twist on Courtney’s part too? But overall, a cute, romantic read with a predictable ending, but it’ll keep you reading for the satisfaction of knowing what happens between the two.
