A mouse that lives in the forest is always getting away with animals that want to eat him: the fox, the owl and the snake. When they want to devour him, the mouse tells lies about a hideous monster that eats them all. But one day, his lies become the truth: a big monster appears in the forest, and now will the mouse get away with it or will he have to face the monster? Can a mouse win a Gruffalo? Will the lies help him? I read this German version and it's very good, the story has a great lesson at the end and a happy ending. Pair 4-8 years old! The story is creative and funny.
