Imogen é uma dessas pessoas que que nada da errado de verdade, mas também não da certo. Até que tudo da errado e certo ao mesmo tempo (risos!)
Ela é uma chef confeiteira, que trabalha muito com o intuito de um dia abrir seu próprio negócio. Um belo dia, ela recebe um panfleto sobre um concurso de culinária, caso ganhe, o prémio pode ajudar a concretizar seu sonho.
Em meio a um desastre, ela descobre que foi selecionada e precisa embarcar para a costa francesa. O que ela não sabia, era que o concurso seria para escolher o novo padeiro para o reino da água, e todos os competidores, inclusive ela (mesmo que não saiba como) possuem magia.
Como se tudo isso já não fosse o bastante, um dos competidores cai morte e ela é a principal suspeita. Agora ela precisa descobrir quem é o culpado e ainda ganhar o concurso.

É uma fantasia bem montada, agradável de se ler, com um bom ritmo e personagens simpáticos, mas achei bem simples, esperava um pouco mais.
Mesmo assim gostei e já vou partir para o próximo livro.

Obs. Outra vez foi a capa que primeiro chamou minha atenção, achei fofa!
