O livro conta a história de Emmie, que vive em Nova York, e após sofrer a maior vergonha da sua vida, vai para um bar beber para esquecer da vergonha. No dia seguinte ela descobre que passou a noite com um desconhecido e meses depois descobre que está grávida e que não sabe quem é o pai.
Agora o nascimento da sua filha decide voltar para sua cidade Natal. Uma cidadezinha no meio dos EUA, onde terá o apoio de toda a família mas também onde todo mundo se conhece e que dará conta da sua vida.
O livro é divertido e fofo.
Eu preciso dizer que esse livro tem um plot twist que eu precisei parar a leitura pra contar para alguém.
Foi minha quarta leitura em inglês e eu tive dificuldade pela quantidade de phrasal verbs, expressões e contrações, além das cenas descritivas e vocabulário de construção e reforma. Mas foi uma boa leitura e quero ler os outros livros da sequência.
