Things in Backlash’s life can’t get much worse. Right in the middle of a firefight, Slayton dies?! Surely this can’t be the end for our swashbuckling hero, can it? After what seemed like Backlash's death Taboo needed to escape but she couldn't do it alone. She needed help from the man who was trying to kill her minutes ago and he did after his employer told him to keep her alive. He carried Marc's dead body to their ship and helped pilot it until they were overwhelmed and captured. Serge provides a distraction while Taboo sends out an SOS but they still get boarded and taken. Backlash's body was to be taken down to and lab and drained because ti was special. Serge and Taboo find themselves in a dungeon and meet the vampiric alien Lilitu. She explains her connection to Taboo and her armor and forces Serge to become her slave. Marc is seen seemingly waking fomr death.
