Eu não gosto muito mais de escrever resenhas, tanto que essa nem vai ser uma resenha crítica nem nada, eu só realmente precisava expressar meu amor por esse casal, por essa história, por essa autora, por essas personagens incríveis, eu nem sei por onde começar. Primeiramente, Shannon like the river Lynch; ela tem todo meu coração, e eu espero que ela nunca me dê ele de volta. Sou 150% apaixonada por ela, o desenvolvimento dela desde o primeiro livro até o final desse foi a coisa mais linda do mundo. Ela é uma daquelas personagens que são tão reais que não tem como você não acabar se identificando com alguma frase dela, algum pensamento, alguma ideia; ela tem defeitos e medos e é isso que a faz tão real, tão bonita. Ela é extremamente forte, leal e boa, tipo, de alma. E ela é tão fofa! Queria muito guardar ela no meu bolso da frente e levar ela comigo pra todo canto. Agora, sobre o próprio Mister Rugby, Johnny Kavanagh – não tem palavras que possam descrever o quão perfeito esse homem é, de verdade. Ele é maduro, responsável (até onde um adolescente pode ser), ele é tudo de bom! O cara faria de tudo por quem ele ama e isso é extremamente admirável. A evolução dele também foi incrível, fiquei extremamente emocionada com a conversa com o pai dele sobre não querer deixar a juventude pra trás. Ele é simplesmente um sonho de consumo, o que eu não daria pra ter tido alguém como ele como meu primeiro amor... Número 13, eu te amo! Sobre o relacionamento johnnyshannon em si, juro por deus, vou ficar OBCECADA por eles pra sempre. Eu simplesmente AMO essa slightly unhealthy codependency deles – o que me lembra muito a Lily e o Loren, de Addicted. Eu amo a confiança que um tem no outro, o quanto eles se apoiam e se protegem – o quanto eles se amam. Foi uma honra ter acompanhado eles desde o comecinho, sem falar que UAU, que smuts perfeitos, juro! Foi um highschool romance do começo ao fim, tratando de assuntos extremamente delicados e de uma forma incrível, mas sem perder a essência de um romance de ensino médio – as cenas deles na escola? Eu amei todas. Eu gostei da forma como a autora abordou os temas delicados dessa trama, e sinceramente, mudou minha visão de mundo sobre muitas coisas (assim como todo livro que trata de assuntos como alcoolismo, abuso físico e psicológico, abuso de drogas e etc faz comigo). Extremamente ansiosa pro livro do Joey e da Aoife, e do Gibsie e da Claire (esses sim vão ser angst sentimentos reprimidos e tudo o mais). Vou morrer de saudade de vocês, johnnyshannon. Shannon Lynch simplesmente lendária, afinal, ela venceu sem nem se esforçar esse Binding 13. "It just means that I'm going to get upset when you're upset, and that when someone hurts you, I'm going to want to cause some serious harm to them in return. I'm all in, Shannon. Scars and all. Fucked up father and all. One hundred and fifty percent. I feel everything for you."
