O ponto central nesse livro é amizade. O pai de Jason está morrendo e apesar do passado difícil que eles têm, Jason resolve voltar para sua cidade natal para ver o pai, mas não quer ir sozinho. Assim, Anita acaba se oferecendo para ir como sua namorada - apesar de isso não ser verdade.
A amizade entre Anita e Jason é praticamente testada quando as coisas dão errado e eles descobrem muito mais sobre os dois e o relacionamento entre eles.
Ainda achei esse livro meio desnecessário, pois perdeu o foco comparado aos livros anteriores. E mais desnecessário ainda é acrescentar mais homens na vida da Anita. Eu amo um harém reverso, mas a ênfase em "harém" nessa série tá demais.
