Eu não sabia muito sobre este livro antes de começar, apenas que era sobre o Muro de Berlim, mas isso foi o suficiente para pegar o meu interesse.

A história segue a Gerta, uma jovem que teve sua família dividida com a ascensão do Muro de Berlim - onde ela, sua mãe e irmão mais velho ficaram no lado leste Comunista, enquanto seu pai e outro irmão estavam no lado Ocidental.
O livro foi muito lento no início, mas começou a ficar realmente interessante em torno da página 100, quando finalmente conseguimos um pouco de ação. Também gostei muito de todos os personagens e a escrita era linda. No entanto, eu acho que eu teria gostado mais se tivesse mais imagens / fotos ao longo do livro - temos algumas fotos no início, mas se tivéssemos mais enquanto o Muro estava sendo descrito teria sido incrível.
