Senti ecos do estilo de escrita de Bunin nestes contos com um pouco de fantasia/conto de fadas que para mim escreveu o livro de contos mais delicioso e perfeito que já li : Dark Avenues, então medir este livro com outro é injusto, mas Devo dizer que está coletânea é interessante. Algumas histórias boas, outras mais ou menos ,mas esse escritora tem personalidade e habilidade para escrever histórias com personagens marcantes e estrutura narrativa complexa. O inverno russo revelando almas solitárias e destruindo corações que anseiam por algo.
