Cheguei ao "The Complete Book of Calligraphy & Lettering" com o intuito de ter um guia, um manual e uma referência sólida para alfabetos caligráficos. Dividido em duas partes, caligrafia e lettering, respectivamente, divide-as, cada uma, por épocas de estilo — das tradicionais e básicas até as contemporâneas. Bem diagramado, bem explicado e expositivo ao essencial, a compreensão torna-se intuitiva.
Pode-se dizer que é completo, não só pela abrangência dos estilos caligráficos e letterings, mas por expor explicar e demonstrar técnicas; algumas teorias básicas como a da cor; ornamentos e decorações.
Minha única ressalva é ausência de estilos script ou print, que poderiam e deveriam ser inclusos numa próxima edição, de qualquer maneira, conhecendo as técnicas e com uma leve prática, nada que um vídeo no Youtube não resolva.
Perfeito para estudo e desenvolvimento de estilo.
