Este é um livro de abordagem romântica, com uma personagem feminina bem mais ativa e engenhosa, comparado com a Mina no Drácula original. O livro tenta e até certo ponto consegue ser bastante fiel à obra de Stoker, porém algumas das mudanças feitas não me agradaram muito, tal como a tentativa de mostrar o Drácula como um anti-herói mal compreendido que só queria ser amado, ou ainda a vida dupla da Mina Harker, que queria ficar com o Conde e Jonathan.
