Trata-se de uma coletânea de onze contos, cada um escrito por um autor diferente, extraídos de uma antologia de Judith Merril com os melhores escritores do gênero. Este livro vale ser lembrado por conter como segundo conto, o famoso "A Mosca", que foi adaptado para o cinema em 1958 com remakes posteriores [ veja http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fly_(1958_film) ]. Os outros contos também são muito interessantes.
