Synopsis:
Ghosts, vampires, and werewolves perambulated, in starvation, the eerie and imponderable stories of one area in the town of Tebraria, where homes resembled the graves and mausoleums in the local necropolis. The inhabitants of that haunted location made no distinction between the dead and the living ones, to the extent of considering their grave digger as the honorable mayor of that immense and reviled place.
They call it the Crypt Neighborhood.
Abigail is part of Elegies. Elegies is the first volume in the Crypt Neighborhood pentalogy. It comprises 24 horror stories that shed light from past centuries’ kerosene lampions on the old universal horror classics. Blood-soaked pages where plain people have to face lifethirsty strigois, vagrant lycanthropes awaiting the Devil’s nuptials, tormented apparitions seeking some relief, bloodthirsty nereids lurking in rivers, live and starving shadows, curious aliens and their startling experiments, whimsical and ruthless divinities, narcissistic demons and horrifying psychos, all in sync with that sinister part of the haunted township of Tebraria. Between the paths leading to God’s Sorrow Hills, the swampy river that disgorges into Sepultures Bay, the improper tracks to the Suicides’ Garden, and the ample Necropolis by Hard Ground Road, stands the infamous Crypt Neighborhood.
