The foundation for contemporary cultural apologetics!
Schaeffer has already become a contemporary classic, and it?s no wonder why. This, the first book of his trilogy on apologetics, is an excellent demonstration of the methods and the basic content of the message of Christianity to 21st people.
As James W. Sire himself admitted in the preface to this edition, Schaeffer is an original thinker and, for that reason, can be very hard to understand and to process. He comes up with a lot of concepts that can be very hard to grasp without a careful reading.
But as he?s not only creatively intellectual, but passionate and loving for the lost e surprisingly practical, I can?t recommend this book enough if you?re seeking to communicate the gospel relevantly in our own time.
