For my Em. Don?t wait this long. Come let me love you.
Swear On This Life é uma história lindo sobre amores de infância.
If you can surrender to the idea that there might be a plan, instead of reducing every magical moment to a coincidence, then love will find you.

Swear on this life it's a lovely childhood friends to lovers history.
If you can surrender to the idea that there might be a plan, instead of reducing every magical moment to a coincidence, then love will find you.
Imagine the shock when you find out that your childhood sweetheart has written a book about the two of you. Emiline is frustrated with the direction her life has taken, she doesn't feel like herself at the moment, frustration and emptiness are constant feelings that prevent her from being emotionally involved with the people around her.
Everything changes when Cara, her best friend and roommate, convinces her to read a best-selling book written by a debut author, but reading she realizes that the story of Emerson and Jackson sounds very similar to the love story she once had. lived, and it turns out that the author, J. Colby is actually Jase Colby, her first love, the person who made it all worthwhile.
About the book, I love a second-chance trope, and Renée Carlino knew how to deliver what is needed for a good book like this, the secret I think is the alternation between past and present, to understand the connection of these characters in the present is more than It is essential to see how their dynamics were in the past.
I confess that the dialogues of the past are very silly, which made me afraid of not liking how Jase and Emi of the present would be. It's not as well-written a book as I'd like it to be, but that doesn't make it any less special and definitely one of my favorites. It's an exciting read, even if it's light and fluid, because it's a cliché novel, but it's a satisfying cliché, I'm definitely new to reading more from this author.
