Quando eu comecei a ler o livro, logo pensei, mais uma garota triste que só tem um amigo na escola e motivos suficientes para odiar o mundo. Mas a leitura foi avançando eu já estava deitada, numa noite de sábado, e ficava repetindo, só mais um capítulo, só mais um.... e lá se foram dez sem que eu percebesse e meus olhos começassem a arder de sono.

Holly é uma adolescente que está fragilizada após a morte de sua mãe, ela está tão confusa com suas emoções que se fechou para o mundo e não percebe o que está fazendo até que tudo vire uma grande confusão.

Logo no primeiro capítulo, Holly perde sua virgindade no banco de trás do carro de um garoto que ela mal conhece, Paul....
