    Paula Brackston vive nas florestas do País de Gales e é formada em escrita criativa pela Universidade de Lancaster, Inglaterra. Em 2007, foi finalista do prêmio Crème de la Crime para novos autores. Em 2010, seu livro Nutters (escrito sob o pseudônimo de P. J. Davy) foi finalista do Mind Book Award. A filha da feiticeira é sua estreia no Brasil.
