Roald Dahl foi o primeiro autor de língua inglesa de quem eu realmente gostei, e foi com ele que comecei a ler em inglês. Era um conto, mas não me lembro mais qual; de qualquer forma, logo me indicaram esta coletânea, que devorei. Nunca li um contista tão talentoso quanto ele. Suas histórias têm um ritmo todo dele, sua escolha de palavras é sensacional, os diálogos são fantásticos e os finais são exatamente isso: unexpected.

Meus contos preferidos são Lamb to the Slaughter e The Way Up to Heaven. Recomendo altamente.
