At first glance, Phil Pendleton and his son Adam are just an ordinary father and son, no different from any other. They take walks in the park together, visit county fairs, museums, and zoos, and eat together overlooking the lake. Quando vi que esse livro juntava crianças, doces e terror, não pude deixar de ler. Gostei bastante do plot principal e a primeira cena da "revelação" sobre o sour candy me deixou aterrorizada. Infelizmente o final do livro foi um pouco previsível e acabou afetando a avaliação geral da obra.
