The First Bad Man é o primeiro livro da Miranda July que me atrevi a ler, foi uma indicação de uma amiga que me entregou e já foi dizendo "O livro não tem nada a ver com homens...de certa forma" e ela não poderia estar mais certa. Cheryl, a protagonista, é uma das personagens mais estranhas que já vi na minha vida. Fisicamente estranha, com modos estranhos, um trabalho estranho, fantasias estranhas e doença estranha. No momento que a Clee é apresentada, você acha que vai haver normalidade, mas naquele momento, tudo se torna mais peculiar ainda. O livro é carregado com conteúdo sexual, mas vai além disso.
