Tanto quanto “Snow Crash” (também traduzido no Brasil como “Nevasca”), do mesmo autor, “Diamond Age”, ambientado no mesmo universo, mas várias décadas depois (final do século XXI) e do outro lado do Pacífico contém um repertório interessante de itens de especulação tecnológica nem sempre verossímeis, mas divertidos, infelizmente inseridos em uma trama , personagens estereotipados, ideologia mal digerida e um final tosco e abrupto.
