Em Fall of Hyperion já se está ambientado com esse universo e personagens, o que torna a leitura desse segundo livro mais fluída que o primeiro (que não é ruim, mas é uma leitura mais arrastada e que também serve o seu propósito de construção de mundo). Fall of Hyperion acaba sendo maravilhoso com seus mistérios tendo resoluções no tempo certo, e também abrindo porta para mais discussões sobre política, moral, ética, o que é humanidade e empatia.
