The Once and Future King is an Arthurian fantasy novel. It was first published in 1958, and is mostly a composite of earlier works written between 1938 and 1941. The central theme is an exploration of human nature regarding power and justice, as the boy Arthur becomes king and attempts to quell the prevalent "might makes right" attitude with his idea of chivalry.

Apaixonada por Rei Artur como sou, não poderia deixar de ler esse livro. E já fazia tempo que eu queria, mas ele sumiu e retornou agora. Confesso que eu não li impresso, li em e-book em inglês, mas mesmo assim era um desejo antigo (e eu só comprei o kobo esse ano também). Mais ainda do que ser de Rei Artur, outro motivo que me levou a ler foi que era esse livro que Magneto lia na prisão de vidro em que prenderam ele. Ah, sim!
