Isobel has been Sheikh Tariq's personal assistant for five years. He pays well but is very demanding, at four in the morning she receives a phone call from Tariq, he has been in a car accident and is in hospital. Isobel rushes to the hospital where she discovers that he is suffering from a concussion, but is otherwise okay. The doctor agreeing to release Tariq the following day upon the condition that he rests for at least a week. So Isobel takes him to her cottage in the country. It is in this small cottage that Tariq suddenly starts to see Isobel in a different light. But Isobel has seen the many many women that come and go in Tariq's life and she has no intention of becoming a casualty to his short attention span.
This latest story from this author is a well used plot. But Ms Kendrick has written a good story which made it feel fresh. I loved Tariq he was so spoilt and used to getting his own way, but instead of being irritating, I found him quite endearing. Isobel enjoys her job and worries that giving in to her boss will cause major problems. This was an enjoyable read, the scenes between the h/h were very well done full of emotion and passion.
