Logo no início do livro a tradutora nos deixa uma pequena notinha, nos perguntado: "Acha que conhece a história da Bela e a Fera? Então pense de novo." Eu nunca imaginava que a verdadeira história da Bela e a Fera tivesse sido escrita a cerca de 300 anos atrás, e que fosse tão diferente da história adaptada pela Disney, que fez/faz tanto sucesso.
