Antes de mais nada, este é um livro de aventura, na qual Lucy e Edmund, com seu primo Eustace, fazem parte da tripulação do Dawn Treader, que, sob o comando do Rei Caspian, desbravam mares nunca vistos, descobrem ilhas cada vez mais misteriosas e se deparam com criaturas extraordinárias (inclusive dragões!).
