In the very depths of Hell, do not demons love one another?
When I finished Memnoch the Devil I didn't understand why Armand reacted the way that he did at the end of that book, it didn't make sense to me. But after finishing this one everything fell into place.
It's a good book, but I only recommend it to those who love Anne and her writing, to those who are used to her world-building and her long descriptions of every single thing. It's dense at times, especially towards the end and even though I loved it I have to admit that listening to the audiobook helped me get through the long dense parts. It was worth it, but I'm biased to comment on anything Anne Rice has ever written since she is my favorite author.
