Quando comecei a ler esta história, pensei que não iria me encantar muito com o enredo em si, mas acabei me enganando. A princípio somos apresentados a alguns elementos que parecem não ter muita conexão entre si: uma menina do futuro que faz uma espécie de manipulação genética no seu gato, um Neandertal verdadeiro à solta no século vinte e um e uma sociedade futurista de pessoas que simplesmente se livram de qualquer sentimento ruim apenas com o apertar de alguns botões.
