An (Enchanted?) Necklace

Daemon finds a Valyrian steel necklace in a market in Essos. Thinking it perfect for his niece, Rhaenyra he buys it and gives it to her upon his return to King's Landing. Unbeknownst to them both there is ancient magic in this necklace. Back in the time of Old Valyria it was said that these necklaces were courting gifts and often signalled a betrothal. In fact it was said that there wasn't a single couple who exchanged the necklace who didn't end up married.

No-one knows what magic is in the necklace, or what the magic responds to, but once Daemon returns from the Stepstones he and Rhaenyra find themselves facing the possibility that they are in a magically determined betrothal. How will they react? How does Viserys react? What do they do next?
