Hello friend! I’m an author currently living it up in New York City. My third novel, THE REGULARS, will be out through Emily Bestler Books in August 2016. It’s about beauty and broads and is basically the Best Thing Ever.
Oh, you wanna know more than that? Well, I’ve done a bunch of stuff like make short films and edit magazines and make things online but the thing that impresses most people the most is I was in a band, which is kind of hilarious, because we weren’t even really a band, but we had a name (Dead Dead Girls) and made a demo so maybe it was real, I don’t know, those days are PRETTY HAZY if you know what I mean. I wrote a book based on that whole time though, She’s With The Band. It’s pretty cute. I mean, at the time, it drove me crazy but I reread it a while ago, and I was like, ‘Actually, this is pretty f**king good!’
I moved from Sydney to New York in 2009 just for fun. Sometimes I do improv but mostly I enjoy meeting new and interesting cheese platters. I used to write for lots of magazines but now I’m too lazy to do that, because you have to pitch, like, five stories for every one you get up UGH. I write from the New York Writers Room, which involves force-feeding myself chocolate macaroons and many, many cups of tea YUM.
Despite the fact I write and love thinking about artificial intelligence, science and the future, I don’t own a smart phone and never learnt to drive. No, NEVER.
I want to take you on a journey into my brain and the many thoughts, opinions and worlds that jostle for space in there.
