Kahlen has won several reader-nominated and voted) awards while writing FanFiction for the second largest derivative fiction community in the world. Including: Best Author, Best Fiction, Best All-Human Story, Best in Category among others.

She is proud of her roots writing fan fiction. She made many friends and gained many readers; the readers who were instrumental in convincing her to publish her stories.

Kahlen is the youngest of three children; her sister, Kathryn, is one of her editors. She attended a private university and received a Bachelor's Degree in business and discovered her love of writing by accident. She has five published novels that cross Contemporary, Adult, New Adult Romance genres and readers can count on scorching love scenes, hot book boyfriends and having their emotions twisted into knots.

Kahlen's many hobbies include cooking, dancing, taking long walks, karaoke and roller skating.

She currently resides near Omaha, Nebraska with her daughter, Olivia... and her two Golden Retrievers... but looks forward to moving and exploring more of the USA and the world.
