D.D. Everest lives with his partner Sara, their two children, and two cats in a rambling Edwardian house on the Ashdown Forest. When he isn’t writing, he spends his time chauffering his teenage children to their social engagements; managing a local youth football team; and acting as a roadie for his son’s various rock n’ roll bands. But he doesn’t complain. Much.
In his spare time he is a successful journalist and the author of a number of nonfiction books.
His debut novel, Archie Greene and the Magician’s Secret, was shortlisted for the Best Children’s Book in the National Book Awards.
