Iniciei a releitura deste livro ao mesmo tempo em que estava terminando de reler a edição traduzida de Entrevista com o Vampiro e fiquei extasiado com a flexibilidade de escrita de Anne Rice. Ela era majestosa, ao ponto de impor sua identidade literária com tanto requinte em duas obras tão diferentes.
