"It's a book, but could be a Hollywood movie" — COSMOPOLITAN Brazil Music, fashion, and the vibrant landscapes of Rio de Janeiro set the stage for an uncommon love story. Mariana Costa’s life is good. She has fantastic friends, is close to her family, and works a dream job at the internationally-renowned fashion magazine, Be. There is only one problem … she’s madly in love with the one man who is not only out of her league, but is completely unattainable: her boss. Carlos Eduardo is confident, sexy, and established. He dates supermodels and runs a successful magazine. His life is perfect; or was perfect until he admits he has feelings for the most unlikely object of his affection. His assistant is smart, sexy, and everything he ever wanted in a woman—but she’s not only nothing like the women he usually dates, she is his employee, and therefore untouchable. But touching her is the one thing he can’t seem to resist. Outside the office, Cadu and Mari explore tenderness and passion. But they are from completely different worlds, and when those worlds collide and threaten to destroy not only their fragile bond but the very magazine they work for, they must decide whether falling in love is worth risking it all.

When I discovered that Falling For Her was a romance settled in an office, the only thing I thought of was that I should read, and so I had the opportunity to know the characters who became my best friends, for whom I cheered vibrated, and fell in love. For years Cadu and Mari have worked together. She's his secretary, a very professional one. Cadu is the CEO of a fashion magazine company. But trust me when I say that it is not a romance like the others, as A. C. Meyer's exquisite writing makes it different and unique. Quote: "Because I know he's the kind of guy who takes your breath away in the blink of an eye." Mari has a crush on Cadu, however, he has never looked at her beyond the professional relationship. And in an unexpected way, he noticed her and the interaction between them become more explicit and meaningful. Mari knows that a relationship between them is impossible, but that does not stop her from surrendering to him. It is not only the relationship boss and employee, there is also his rich family and their expectations, the reality of Mari not having the same social status as him and also the self image she has. As you can follow their point of view, because both characters narrate the book, you will discover how they will be able to make their feelings greater than the differences. Quote: "I promise to make you my home and to make myself your home, so that we can never be apart again." Falling For Her is a cute reading, with a romantic comedy plot that gives us an exciting reading that is impossible to put down until we reach the last page.
