Fantastic Tales

Humankind writes about humankind. There is no other way of understanding the world but through human knowledge, about the things that are of our please and the things that are of our concern.

Literature, either oral or written, has always involved the human being with heroic actions, transformations of all sorts, through good and bad moments.

The fantasy literature is a door that has been opened earlier on with Jules Verne’s stories, with the sci-fi genre, with the superheroes comic books, and with Monteiro Lobato’s huge talent. Going through the fantasy door is to enter a wide, magic, strange and wonderful universe.

Some stories outlive time. They are those stories with a plot that speaks not about a single culture, place or character. Some stories surpass the time of man for they surpass the man himself.

The fantasy stories make part of the civilizations’ stories. They spread through the world with different themes and reflections about the human being disguised by king, princesses, knights, horrific beasts, strange animals, distant worlds and magic objects …

You will find some amusement here, but a bit of reflection as well. I aim to display a universe where the characters are different. I write to diminish the distances and prejudices, for tolerance to be constant and therefore change actions. I don’t know how far I manage to make these aims come true, but the effort I put in it is always huge.
