Thomas Lessor left Las Vegas for Miami to get away from it all -- in fact, he felt certain he was going to get away with murder. But he is wrong. The Las Vegas PD has contacted Miami with a warrant for his arrest, and before long the forces of law and order are once more hot on his trail.
Then Horatio Caine and his colleagues in the Miami Crime Scene Investigation team are called to the scene of Lessor's abandoned limo...abandoned in spirit, that is, but not in body. Meanwhile, on a pleasant and secluded Miami beach, a young couple are about to make a gruesome discovery...
