Grimm's Fairy Stories

Nascidos na Alemanha, no século XIX, os dois irmăos foram professores universitários que se destacaram como grandes estudiosos do idioma natal. Duas de suas grandes realizações foram a "Deutsches Grammatik" e o "Deutsches Wörterbuch", postumamente concluída em 1961.

Os dois tinham também uma ambição: reunir toda a tradiçăo oral alemã e esse projeto foi levado adiante, através de relatos recolhidos junto a simples camponeses e fixados posteriormente em texto. A essa obra, eles devem o reconhecimento mundial: há cerca de duzentos anos, elas fascinam diferentes culturas, sem perder o brilho com a pátina do tempo.
