Jornada para o Oeste, é um romance escrito no século XVI, um dos quatro clássicos chineses ( Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Water Margin, Dream of the Red Chamber, são os outros). Geralmente publicado em forma abreviada, até mesmo na China. Já tinha lido outras duas edições abreviadas da obra e, as versões completas dos outros três grandes romances chineses, um dos quais eu li em inglês e os outros dois em francês.
