Be less impressed, more involved.
Great thing when you get to see the whole thought process, the raw expression, warts and all when reading autobiographies from successful people that lives an extraordinary life, to realize: Well, he’s human like us. McConaughey’s wise words in this book comes from his thirty-five years journal, quite an intense journey filled with reinventions of the self, throughout his path to find identity while immersed in the hall of fame and the cinematographic world.
As Matthew says: Hollywood is definitely not a place to find yourself, it is a place to be whatever you want, infinite yesses. It is hard to find a frequency in life, we are bombarded by modern society hectic stimuli, even more when glutted by fame, but you can infer some aspects from a person’s character by learning how challenges were faced and held accountable.
Definitely worth telling how his struggles became poetry. When it comes to the art of life, one of his many lessons that is worthy of pursuing is to not patronize thyself to get some kind of resistance, it is foolish to create false drama and sometimes we take tragedy for granted when it’s undoubtedly powerful to get clarity and make us evolve.
