Um livro muito bom para crianças, eu tinha um livro de Oscar Wilde quando eu era criança e amava as histórias. Li essa hoje pois vou fazer uma atividade com os alunos e achei rápido e uma boa história.

Well... It delivered what was promised
A sweet story with a lesson is waiting for the ones who choose to read this book and I'm sure it's also a good book to read to your children. Actually, I guess all these gospel children's books by Oscar Wilde are in the same line and I get those who like them but I feel those books are not for everyone, because it appeals to much for the miracles or beliefs of a certain religion, not that it is bad but I guess that not anyone would like it, and reading those books I had the feeling those gospel parts are not really necessary to the story. I mean, I'm not complaining or anything, it's not that it's bad or anything, it's just that the story and the lesson would still be the same even without that part, those parts feel a bit more like a not-so-necessary epilogue.
I can't stop thinking those books would reach and please more people around the world, if the author had decided to stick only with the lessons, in a neutral place, and not added those parts.
I think it's a classic anyway and I'm sure it would be good to give it a try. After all, it's a good book, regardless of religion.
