Book Review
The Sword of Summer is the first book of the Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard' saga, written by Rick Riordan.
Magnus Chase is a young homeless that lives in the Boston's street. In the beginning of the story, Magnus just woke up and had to run away from two strangers that were after him.
We discovered that two strangers, Annabeth and Frederick Chase, daughter and dad, ended up being Magnus' relatives. They were looking for Magnus for the past two weeks, but he was hidden.
The homeless kid, asking himself about the reason for the search, invades Randolph's mansion (your other uncle, brother of Frederick and Natalie, Magnus' mother). There, he discovered that Uncle Randolph needed your help and expected your invasion.
Divide in help uncle Randolph and follow your instincts that scream "GET OUT!!!", Magnus was attacked by Surt, the giant fire's king.
Magnus died, after he took a sword in a frozen river and was hurt by Surt.
Yes, he just die.
So Samirah al-Abbas, rode on a pegasus, took his soul and went to Valhalla, the Einherjar Palace. There, he discovered that Valhalla was a hotel to the souls of brave warriors that died in battle. That Warriors were called einherjar. Magnus found his "roommates" Hearthstone and Blitzen, and to understand their careful nature about him, they were an elf and a dwarf sended to care for his journey.
The book is amazing and very crazy, to read this was a fun and tense experience. The main characters were very well written and the villain was suffocating and very, very scary.
