we are the ants - review
I must admit that in the beginning i wasn?t so excited about this book, but after a short while I was almost addicted ? like is 6 in the morning and i?m doing a review because i just finished the audiobook.
Even though Henry was the main character, I believe I speak from most of the readers when I say that Diego was the main star.
Now talking about something that I really liked: The fact that Henry got the chance to go to a doctor after all, because through the whole book you can see how he was struggling with everything that had happened to him in the past. I felt real! I hate when in the end of books people usually just get their ?happy ever after? without showing that traumas must be treated.
I loved the fact that in the end, the apocalypse did not mattered at all. We will never get to see if it was just his mind, but it doesn?t matter, because the finale was just so well written.
And now I must talk about the one subject of my anger: Marcus... I hated him and I hate him even more because sometimes I felt sorry and apologetic for him, just to two seconds after that he show his true colours. I truly thought he would redime him self by the end of the book, but once again, the fact that he did not, makes it real. Just reinforcing, that sometimes people are just bad by their nature.
Even though I listened to the audiobook, I used an epub to highlight my favourite and least favourite moments and I need to say, that I don?t know if I would have felt the way I felt if I was reading it by myself. Maybe some stories are just meant to be told out loud.
