Creepy
Undoubtedly, an excellent piece of writing. I am giving only 3.5 stars because it?s not my type of book. It?s suspenseful, but in a very creepy manner, which is not comfortable for me to read in anyway. I finished because I really loved Kafka?s Metamorphosis. However, the creepiness of the Penal Colony and the bad feelings I had throughout the plot did stop me from getting a deeper reflection and interpretation of the story.

Eu gostei muito do livro, kafka não decepciona nos diálogos nunca. No entanto não dei um perfeito pq senti que faltou alguma coisa no final, algum epílogo para a história.

Eu acabei sentindo que o final deixa muito o condenado e o oficial numa equivalencia que não existe na vida real, eu acho interessante as semelhanças que ele traz mas a equidade que as figuras transmitem no final parece ignorar de onde as coisas partiram.
