Thais 14/07/2022First of all, this book is full of clichés. It’s not a problem, but didn’t work for me. The detective with personal issues and traumas, the rich family, the pretty girl who is murdered… Nothing groundbreaking. For me, the plot is just ok. I confess I didn’t guess who the killer was before it was revealed, but when it came out, I was like ??? seriously? I wasn’t expecting that, but I didn’t find it interesting. Besides, I don’t think Detective Foster’s train of thought was well written. I could see she was a smart and focused woman, and all she had done was justified, but even so, the way her train of thought was presented didn’t please me.
Maybe if I had read this book at another time, I would have enjoyed it more, but at this point, it wasn’t the best story for me. Anyway, it might be nice for people who like detective novels.
