Paul from Galatians

Dependence on works for salvation is not a return to Old Testament religion, but it is heresy, lie, and deception. It is important to note that the true religion was never linked to personal effort, but always on grace. Salvation in the Old Testament was based solely on faith, not works. If the Hebrews had understood this, they would never have crucified the Messiah. If Old Testament religion was centered on keeping the commandments, what the Judaizers preached was not completely wrong, it was just a partial truth. However, it was heresy, since the redemption of the people of Israel also occurred through faith in a religion centered on the grace of God. The apostle's accusation against the preaching of the Judaizers is very serious, for he says that it is a non-gospel. There is no other Christian truth than that announced and affirmed by Paul and his collaborators. Belief in any religious announcement that does not fit or go beyond what we find in Scripture, is damning. We have here a very important warning: if we go back to the old alliance's practices, we are under God's curse, because today it is synonymous with mysticism and personal merit.
