Mais um livro incrível de Rice

Iniciei a releitura deste livro ao mesmo tempo em que estava terminando de reler a edição traduzida de Entrevista com o Vampiro e fiquei extasiado com a flexibilidade de escrita de Anne Rice. Ela era majestosa, ao ponto de impor sua identidade literária com tanto requinte em duas obras tão diferentes. Em Crhist The Lord é notável o quanto a escritora pesquisou, estudou e conseguiu transpor para o papel toda a aura daquela época tão pouco relevada. Ela consegue, com muito respeito à figura de Cristo, recriar toda a sua infância de modo magistral e mesmo por meio da ficção, romper as lacunas da biografia de Jesus que não é contada nos evangelhos. Eu li esta obra traduzida, por volta de 2014 e sentia vontade de reler e tive a oportunidade de fazê-lo agora por meio de uma empréstimo do ebook na NY Public Library e pude revistar na língua original esta obra maravilhosa.
