The horrors of war

De uma maneira belíssima e profunda, Christy Lefteri nos guia em uma história de dor, morte, esperança, beleza e amor de um casal que vê seu mundo mudar completamente por causa de uma guerra.
Os capítulos nos guiam de uma forma não linear em relação ao tempo da história (indo do presente e ao passado) nos revelando a cada momento os horrores da guerra e da jornada de refugiados, mas também a presença constante da esperança e do desejo de encontrar de novo a luz.
Eu comecei a ler esse livro pouco tempo antes da guerra na Ucrânia começar e agora termino ainda durante a guerra, com amigos que sofrem por seu país e suas famílias ainda ali na Ucrânia, com medo do futuro. Esse livro nos abre os olhos para o mal da humanidade e para a graça de Deus que nos capacita a ajudar e socorrer, e para a necessidade de um Salvador perfeito.
