Este mangá tem um início alucinante, impossível o leitor não ficar curioso para saber o quê e o porquê está acontecendo aquela cena inicial. Neste primeiro volume vamos ser apresentados à Satsuma uma cidade com vários samurais, com os tempos de paz eles ficaram sem ocupação e para viver começaram a trabalhar em ocupações comuns, mas o que um guerreiro que foi treinado desde jovem para a batalha de forma árdua não tem é um temperamento para ficar fazendo serviços monótonos e repetitivos.
