O livro apresenta uma personagem feminina complexa e interessante, o que é raro em obras de suspense/ação. Achei especialmente interessante a descrição de dois países que eu não conhecia: Dinamarca e Groenlândia. O desenvolvimento da história foi envolvente, mas, como eu já havia previsto na metade do livro, ela se tornou tão complexa que a segunda parte pareceu desconectada da primeira, como se tomasse um rumo completamente desvairado, culminando em um final medíocre. Não gostei do desfecho, não leria novamente e tampouco indicaria a leitura.
